Social Media Manager
Rolling Tales is a locally-owned comic and game shop with a focus on community, storytelling, and literacy. As the former Social Media Manager at RT, I shaped the online presence of the business.

Social Media Posts
The majority of my work at RT was sharing with the community about workshops, events, promotions, and new stock on social media. I created graphics from scratch using Affinity Designer, wrote friendly captions, and posted using various built-in social media schedulers. Posts need to be created in multiple resolutions depending on the website. Staying ahead of big releases, upcoming movies, industry events, and holidays was an important aspect of my job.
In-Store Signage
Promotional events and special products often call for informative signage. Brevity, prioritization of information, and an understanding of font size are important in signage creation. Since many signs were printed in-house, it was also important to work with various printing limits.

Newsletter & Printables
My favourite part of the job was creating an e-mail newsletter every week. Creating graphic section dividers helped readers quickly sort information, while the sections themselves had to remain concise and always include a call to action.
Every month, Rolling Tales gives back to supporters with free printables in the newsletter. Every month I created a new pop-culture printable to support creativity through hobbies for subscribers. View and download Rolling Tales printables for free by clicking here!

The Brand
The original creation and choices for the Rolling Tales logo and fonts are by Greg Dejong. I added to the identity by using rounded shapes, adding festive, comic-inspired headliner text, and illustrative ink lines as a nod to the artists of the pop-culture-verse. I complimented the aesthetic with a friendly, yet professional brand voice. Followers could expect fun alliteration, whimsical rhymes (within moderation), and lots of exclamations!
